Last week, students reflected on what it means to be “salt and light.” We talked about how we each bring our own special “seasoning” to the world and discussed different ways we can share our light with others to make a positive difference in our community. Miss Elsa’s class explored various types of salt and considered how this seemingly mundane substance is critically important to our daily lives. The students then created watercolor pictures using salt to create a colorful special effect. The older students enjoyed working with Miss Adele to assemble dry soup mixes for the upcoming Soup Sale. Each of us did our part, and together we created a sure-to-be delicious product. Thank you, Miss Adele, for guiding us through another fantastic culinary learning experience!
